Who this policy covers

SteamActivity is the operator responsible for the information described here. This policy applies when you browse, sign in with Steam, search profiles, submit community content, support us on Patreon and link your Patreon account, redeem a gift code, or contact us.

Information we process

  • Steam identity and session data: your SteamID, public profile name and avatar, authentication session, and account relationship to SteamActivity.
  • Public Steam data: profile, identifiers, games, playtime, friends, groups, bans, inventory, and other information Steam makes available.
  • Your activity: searches, favorites, lookup history, notifications, and feature interactions.
  • Community content: reputation entries, replies, reports, flags, evidence, warnings, and moderation outcomes.
  • Membership records: plan, status, recipient, transaction references, dates, amount, currency, gifts, refunds, and revocations. Payment providers may process payment details directly.
  • Security and technical data: request logs, errors, timestamps, and signals needed to prevent abuse and operate the service.

Why we use information

We process information to deliver requested profile tools; authenticate members; preserve favorites, history, reputation, and notifications; administer Supporter benefits; detect fraud and abuse; investigate reports; secure and improve the service; answer requests; and meet legal obligations.

Depending on your location and the activity, the legal basis may be performance of a service, legitimate interests in security and responsible community operation, consent for optional analytics, or compliance with law.

Sharing and international processing

Information may be handled by infrastructure, database, authentication, payment, monitoring, and Steam-related service providers only as needed to operate SteamActivity. Public contributions and profile information may be visible to other users.

Providers may process information outside your country. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards should be used. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the feature, security, dispute handling, financial records, moderation integrity, or legal obligations. Public Steam data may be refreshed or replaced. Some moderation and transaction records may need to be retained after account use ends.

We use proportionate access controls and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your Steam account and report suspected misuse promptly.

Cookies and local storage

SteamActivity uses browser storage in two categories:

CategoryPurposeChoice
NecessarySteam session, authentication state, security, and your saved consent choice.Always enabled
AnalyticsAn anonymous browser identifier and daily marker used to count one visit per browser per day.Off until accepted

Rejecting analytics does not block sign-in or core features. Withdrawing consent deletes the analytics identifier and daily marker from this browser and stops future analytics visits.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of eligible information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to your data-protection authority.

Send a request to legal@steamactivity.com. We may need to verify that a request relates to your Steam identity. Rights can have legal exceptions, including security, fraud prevention, financial retention, and freedom of expression.

Children and third-party services

SteamActivity is not designed to collect information from children who cannot legally consent to the service in their location. Steam, payment providers, and linked sites operate under their own terms and privacy notices.

Policy updates and contact

We may update this policy when features, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes may trigger a renewed consent choice or a notice in the service.

SteamActivity is independent and not affiliated with Valve Corporation. For privacy questions or requests, contact legal@steamactivity.com.
